About the association

In its activities, the Association undertakes actions whose primary goal is the development of the cement industry.

The Association serves as an advocate for the industry towards government administrative bodies:

  • local government authorities
  • non-governmental organizations and other institutions
  • since 2004, with respect to European institutions

It is a party representing the cement industry in the process of consulting on legal acts and actively participates in work covering many different issues and legislative levels, ranging from national regulations to European regulations, directives, or community thematic strategies.

Informational, educational, and training activities, actions for environmental protection, health, and occupational safety, as well as the promotion of products and modern technologies for their application, are other important initiatives undertaken by the Association.

In its activities, the Association utilizes a variety of tools to achieve its established objectives.
An important tool that enables the Association to fulfill its mission of disseminating knowledge and information—not only on cement and concrete, but also, for example, on the technical capabilities of the industry in waste utilization—is the wide range of publications, such as journals, brochures, scientific textbooks, and annual bulletins.
Informational and educational activities are also carried out through articles in specialized journals, participation in conferences and trade fairs, as well as the organization of its own seminars, conferences, and training sessions dedicated to topics related to the cement industry.

The Association sets the following goals:

  • promotion of products
  • improving the efficiency of the cement industry by promoting modern techniques and technologies, including innovative environmental protection solutions
  • collecting statistical information and publications

The Association is a member of the European Cement Association – Cembureau.
